Interview with Babe of the Month – Kathy Lim

1) What are your favorite sports? What attracts you to play them? Besides netball, what are your favourite past time or chill out activities?
I like team sports; hence naturally I enjoy netball. Another sport I enjoy (though have never had a chance to take part in competitively) is volleyball. However, netball still appeals to me more because of the speed of the game. I used to enjoy shopping a lot, but of late, I seem to have rediscovered the bookworm in me. I appreciate time spent on a good read, whether at home or in a bookstore.

2) You are such a babe I am sure there's lotsa guys approaching you. Base on your experience, what is the most interesting pick-up line that you have heard?
I think I’m about to disappoint, but I guess I’m not exactly the kind of girl random guys choose to hit on. In fact, I don’t even remember once!

3) What are the romantic places you will bring your boyfriend to?
If I disclose them, they will cease to be romantic!

4) Amidst this world cup fever, what will you do to get your boyfriends attention?
My boyfriend’s currently not in the country, so there’s no problem with the whole World Cup thing to that extent. But I must say it’s no longer easy to get my close guy friends out at night anymore! Thus, I sometimes join them in watching the matches; and I’m actually starting to enjoy it.

5) Are you a black or brown person? Why?
Definitely more a black person. Haven’t we all heard enough of the mystique of black? Besides, my mum is a black person, and I think she’s played a part in influencing me.

6) If you were given a chance to alter a body part of yours that you dislike, which would it be? Why?
Needless to say, it’s gotta be the eye rings.

7) What do you classify as romantic gestures?
I enjoy simple things; so even bothering to wake up early in the morning to have breakfast with me would be a romantic gesture to me. Remembering little details or casual remarks I make, and shopping for groceries with me (without complaints), would qualify as well.

8) What kind of men turns you off?
I hate guys who give people the “i-think-i-am-very-handsome-and-cool” look all the time; it makes me feel like giving them a slap! There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

9) What kind of man attracts u more? Fun-loving cool dudes or gentlemen?
Do guys who are both fun-loving and gentlemanly already cease to exist? I would very much prefer a hybrid of the two; I don’t see why these two traits should be separated.

10) What is your fantasy date?
To be flown to the moon to gaze at the stars, complete with red wine and music accompaniment. Now, that is indeed a fantasy.
